Last year was a learning curve, as the first year in business always is. We were constantly asked where was our store in Perth. After a trial “pop up” store in December, Cath @ Revival Hill in Osborne Park let us stay. We’re using the walls and she’s using the floors for her vintage furniture. We hope you’ll swing by for a visit and you might even catch us printing wallpaper!

Yocal is a new cafe that's about to open in Fremantle. It’s on Collie St and is Billy and Leah’s dream come true. Leah thought some Origin Wallpaper designed by Nancy and put on their counters would be a nice welcome to their visitors. Bold and bright, just like their cafe and customers.
Until 13/12/13 we’ve a "pop up” within Revival Hill @ 63A Edward St, Osborne Park, Perth. We have a few samples up and the complete wallpaper swatch range to view. There’s been lots of interest in the florals lately and even some of our braver customers are going the full oversized pattern.
Carly and the other friendly crew @ freedom let us loose in their Osborne Park, Perth store. We went into lay some vintage bricks in the main showroom. We installed this wallpaper just using water, as Origin Wallpaper is pvc free and pre pasted. We wet the wall and then the back of the paper with a couple of water spray guns and up it went.
We overlapped the print just slightly at each join and worked from the top down. As usual we had numerous small bubbles as we laid the paper down. This is normal and there is a tendency for people to try and "work" these out which is unnecessary as they dry out and disappear. If you live in Perth we can put it up for you. Generally the install price is $35 sqm, just send us a phone photo and we can confirm the price. Outside of Perth you, or any wall paperer can put it up...you just need water and a sense of adventure!
We're getting together with our global design collective to bring you a Kids wallpaper selection. Our Welsh designer Louise has some on the way to us. These should be up on the website within the week. Here's a sample of her clean and fresh artwork.
All this talk of wallpapers can be confusing especially as @ Origin we do things very differently from the other wallpaper folk. We print your wallpaper in Australia for any wall dimensions AND pattern size to your preferred scale. We work with you and use the latest technology to ensure you get amazing wall art. Also, forget that PVC stuff from overseas...it's not our thing!
So here's a bit of a case study, Catherine saw Pradera by Inna on the Origin www. She loved the mural idea and we worked with her to get the sizing just right.
She took a picture of the wall with her iPhone, measured the wall(height+width) and emailed these details to us. We "photoshopped" her iPhone pic, putting together her swatch which included the "in situ pic", specifications and a full sized artwork proof. This was emailed to Catherine for a final approval before Origin mailed her the swatch. A week later she ordered her wallpaper. 3 days later it was installed.
Job done! Happy Customer!
